Spanish term

despegue (NOT take off!)

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering
This expression comes from the instruction manual for an ice machine. It does NOT refer to starting up the machine, rather to "unsticking" the ice produced from the evaporator. Would "ice removal" be too general here?
Many thanks,
Paul

Context Sorry, I forgot to give some context!

or:

separation, detachment, breakaway

Three options with the same meaning. Probably breakaway would be the most suitable one for ice.

agree Claudia Andreani : yes, breakaway
