Catalan term

agro (as a prefix)

Catalan to English Other Environment & Ecology Agriculture
OK, this is one of my biggest questions, in evey sense. If pople think it is too much to ask in one question, please let me know (moderator??)

I have included plenty of context, partly because I think it will be interesting for you...

This is document about the (severe) impact of modern, "industrial" farming methods on climate change

The term "agro" is used as a prefix to several words:

Is there one prefix for all, or does each word have it's own special meaning? Agri" works in some instances, but not all, I think. Biodiesel and biofuel seem to be right - but I'm not 100% sure.

Many, many thanks in advance!

agro/agri

Depends on each term. e.g. agroindustria = agribusiness, but agroproducto = agroproduct. Each term is different.

agree Ross Andrew Parker : I agree with Margaret, but I think you have to consider the best way to translate each agro-word (as she indicates).
