Squinting at the faint diagram accompanying the translation and cross-referring to Internet sites and to my car's manual makes me think that it may be a 'bush' or 'compliance bush'. It is at the top of the spring/shock absorber assembly.
Can anyone confirm my suspicions? (I am more familiar with making adjustments to large steam locomotives, which requires the delicate application of a 10-lb sledge hammer :-))
