Italian term
camera di buona efficacia
Italian to English
Art/Literary
Architecture
Grazie in anticipo!

... room efficiently adobed (decorated) in every single aspect of its furnishings
Adapted for 800s
the modern standard interiors' architecture term is "efficient space design" (oppure "space-design" con il trattino), but for the 800 "space-design" is just that – too modern.
Efficient, however, is okay. So I've just substituted "adobe" for "space design" ed eccoci qua!
Auguri.

design/functional – an absolute no-no: don't forget, you're translating an 800 text!
Otherwise it wouldn't be a problem.
Furnished - too restrictive but suits the period fine.
Decorated – no. Furniture, for example, isn't decoration or at least not only.
Use "adobed": it's very 800 when it stood for what we now call design.
sorry for bashing this out: i've a baby hanging of my lefy hand!

Thanks a lot for your answer. To expand on that, what about " rooms efficiently designed" o "efficiently decorated (o furnished)? And also, would "rooms with a functional furnishing/decoration" be possible in your opinion? Thanks a million again. |
