English term

conformist

Non-PRO English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
I`d like to know if a conformist person could be someone who is realistic and accepts that this is all she`s going to have for the time being. She doesn`t have much but enjoys every little thing. She`s very positive and doesn`t complain about her life.

Like I said, this person could be said to be content. http://www.answers.com/content

irrelevant definition This is what I wanted to know. If it could be or not. So then, what adjective could I use to fit the description I made?

your definition is irrelevant

n.
A person who uncritically or habitually conforms to the customs, rules, or styles of a group.

Your definition is totally unrelated to the meaning usually ascribed to this word. So, while a person you describe could or could be a conformist, yours is not the usual description of a conformist.

A person you are describing could be called content or complacent.

Excuse me, but how did I fail to answer your question?

agree Patricia Townshend (X) : I agree with your definition but don't think it has anything to do with being content or complacent. It simply means sticking to the rules and doesn't imply you are happy about it!. . . Ok, I"m with you now. :)

Wait a minute :) I was suggesting content or complacent as a description for the asker's definition: "realistic and accepts that this is all she`s going to have for the time being. She doesn`t have much but enjoys every little thing."
