Discussion

Helen Shiner Oct 9, 2009:
Hi Carmen I agree we would need to know what kind of research this is to be able to translate it. Is it drugs testing or a series of research-based lectures? How does it relate to the deceased?
Carmen Cross (asker) Oct 9, 2009:
This word is on a letter submitted to an insurance company by a law firm seeking compensation for their client. I hope this helps :)
Veronika McLaren Oct 9, 2009:
maybe more context would help. Perhaps it's an investigation?
Kim Metzger Oct 9, 2009:
Are you sure Forschungsreihe is related to insurance?

The signining is irrelevant to the translation of "research/investigation" - it appears there is an agreement (by the deceased?) to participate in a study of some sort.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Trudy Peters : Where does "is to be signed" come from?

A statement regarding participation (Zustimmung), not necessarily signed
neutral Rolf Keiser : with Trudy

You're right, no assumptions should be made.
agree Monika Elisabeth Sieger : with Trudy and Goldcoaster. We simply need even more information!

Thanks - true, we can't work with guesses.
neutral YorickJenkins : I'll add my voice to that-with so little information, nobody can offer reliable suggestions. The context is obscure and Carmen still did not explain it with her answer
