English term

bumper race

English to French Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation horse racing
Reference to a bumper occurs multiple times. A Bumper is the name given to a specific horse race which is suitable only for Amateur jockeys in partnership with young horses who are just starting to race. The name bumper derives from the fact that traditionally owing to the nature of the young horses and the inexperience of the amateur jockeys that a lot of "Bumping" takes place between the horses during the race.

Quel est l'équivalent français ? "Débutant" ?
