it looks very much like referring to 'beat the estimates and raise guidance' which is the prime mover of stock pricing: every quarter the company releases a guidance to next quarter's results, then analysts make their own projections; if the quarter results beat the analysts' estimates then stock price jumps, and if moreover the company raises the guidance for next quarter, then stock price really jumps
