A more suitable alternative might have been 'to work from', for example. Although it is less unacceptable these days to end a sentence with a preposition, the use of 'go off of' couldn't be more inept! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2011-01-29 15:37:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I've a feeling that s'appuyer might also be appropriate here, but I'll leave that for the native-speakers to decide. |
