Spanish term

filmar a piel

Spanish to English Other Cooking / Culinary
Insisto, no me sirven paráfrasis. Any pastry chef around? Thanks!

• Place cling film directly on to the custard layer and set in the fridge to cool and set overnight.

Otherwise you would normally say "wrap in cling film" or "cover with cling film" when talking about, say, wrapping puff pastry in film before putting in the fridge.

agree neilmac : Yes, especially since "filmar" in this sense is jargon/neologism.

I think you could add something like "making sure that it covers the surface and there is no space between it and the cream" - phrased a bit more succinctly, though, perhaps!
