Hello Gabriela,
After you offered additional context about the expression “MLC FIT: INCORRECT JAW POSITIONS”, I made a new research visiting different web pages of manufacturers of MLC systems and reading also other documents.
In particular this paragraph of the new material gave me a different perspective of the subject: “Creating the MLC leaf plan (specifies leaf, jaw, collimator, and gantry position information) - MLC Fit uses color to clearly indicate the defined treatment area, leaves, jaws, and any exposed area or regions of overlap, then numerically displays all the critical information and controls you need to adjust the fit. Individual leaf and jaw positions can be edited manually with the mouse or keyboard, or all the leaves can be automatically positioned using the flexible fit features.”

The Multileaf Collimator (In Spanish: “colimador multiláminas o de múltiples laminas) is a tool for radiation therapy dose delivery. It is produced by different manufacturers: Elekta, Varian, Siemens, GE and others. All the makers produce systems with some common design features. Among these features, we find two “jaws” (mandíbulas).
The “jaw” (mandíbula) is a component of the MLC manufactured with tungsten, a chemical element that has excellent corrosion resistance and helps to reduce the radiations produced the multileaf collimators.
The “upper jaw” (mandíbula superior) forms the field in the Y direction.
The “lower jaw” (mandíbula inferior) forms the field in the X direction.

Nada que ver con una parte del cuerpo humano. Se trata de las mandíbulas del sistema de colimación.
"El sistema de colimación secundaria del Elekta Precise, consiste de un colimador multiláminas (MLC), una mandíbula superior, llamada respaldo en la terminología de Electa, y una mandíbula inferior. El MLC está formado por 40 pares de láminas de W, con una transmisión por debajo del 2%.
. La mandíbula superior se encuentra por debajo del MLC y su objetivo es atenuar completamente la radiación trasmitida por éste y conformar el campo en la dirección Y; la mandíbula inferior conforma el campo en la dirección X. Ambas mandíbulas están
constituidas de W con un espesor de 30 y 78 mm, respectivamente. En nuestro modelo consideramos el MLC como otra mandíbula superior, al no contribuir en la conformación del campo para nuestro estudio. "
