@Asker -- Nie wiem, czy dobrze rozumiem o co chodzi w tej notatce dotyczącej podania 'outlier'. Odpowiadając na pytanie, założyłem, że już uwzględniono proste odmiany tego słowa, że np. w języku angielskim rzeczowniki odczasownikowe się tworzy używając końcówki -ing. Jako tako, myślałem, że szukasz też innych możliwości. To chyba mój błąd. Pozdrawiam

Aha, to teraz lepiej rozumiem. Jeśli chodzi o brak 'outlie' w słownikach, to moim zdaniem nie od tego czasownika pochodzi 'outlier', a raczej od 'lie out', czyli 'lie outside sth', np. 'the measurement lies outside the expected range'. Porównaj podobne przykłady takiego słowotwórstwa: 'downturn' od 'turn down', 'upbringing' od 'bring up', 'outcome' od 'come out', etc.

Asker: im więcej odpowiedzi, tym lepiej czasownika "outlie" nie ma w słownikach

neutral  Polangmar: Też deviation, deflection, dispersion, scatter, aberration, bias itp. - ale chyba warto zachować jakieś przyporządkowanie synonimicznych terminów w obu językach?
