German term
Feuchtraumplatte
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
"GK-Wände der Bäder der Beh. Zimmer"
"Es wird keine grüne Feuchtraumplatte verwendet"
I've seen one translation as simply "plasterboarding", but I think this might be a little more specialist/ a material used specifically in Bathrooms. Would anyone with knowledge in this field happen to know what you would call this in English?
Thanks again in advance

Note from asker:
Thanks for your answer. I wonder if this is a type of plaster board which is specifically used in bathrooms though. "Gipskartonplatte" or "GK-Platte" is actually just translated as plasterboard, but I've seen terms such as moisture board and aquapanel on the internet... don't really know though |
Yeah, this was my thinking as well. I thought of going for a descriptive term like "waterproof plaster board", but I think I read somewhere that the "Feuchraumplatten" are not actually waterproof, only absorb humidity (I can't find the reference now though". In the end I just stuck with plasterboard to keep it general... |

: gypsum board is not sufficient enough since Feuchtraumplatte (when using plaster boards) denominates an impregnated waterproof plaster board
