This is taken from the description of a product with coagulating and flocculating properties, for use in swimming pools:

Los cartuchos tienen la propiedad de formar flóculos en el agua a la entrada del filtro, estos flóculos se depositan en la superficie de la ***carga filtrante*** reteniendo a su paso todas las partículas en suspensión que se encuentran en el agua de la piscina.
I'm having problems with the translation of 'carga filtrante'.
