I am translating a survey. One part they fill in is about their status, married, etc.
I am not sure what the respondent is trying to say here by "certificato" :" Madre di due figli (di cui uno certificato)
Lots of things have popped into my head; Is this a qualification, is it some medical status, adoption?
Maybe some Italian speaker could enlighten?

Discussion
May I ask about the subject of the survey? Maybe are they talking about some problems or disorders of the children, for which they need a "certificate" - i.e. an official diagnosis - to obtain support from school?
