coating/coat Explanation: There are two basic types of “coatings” acc. to British and European Pharmacopoeias: 1. Film-coating – in film-coated tablets (“tabletki powlekane” in Polish acc. to Standard Terms 2000 – Council of Europe, 2000) 2. Sugar-coating – in “regular” coated tablets (“tabletki drażowane” or “drażetki” in Polish acc. to Standard Terms 2000 – Council of Europe, 2000). So “The adjective sugary” can be used only in the case of sugar coated tablets. Other forms of “coatings” - see: http://www.ephmra.org/nfc/9_000bcodes.html (please note, that some of the names are not “Pharmacopoeial”) Reference: http://www.ephmra.org/nfc/9_000bcodes.html |
