Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) General abbreviation re time.

It is the "VO" part that I need help with.
It is in a prescription for medicine. Take every 8 hours VO.

VO=PO ... probably Checking this in Cosnautas (see reference below for those who don't know it) we see that there are actually three (at least) possible meanings in this context:

4 vía oftálmica {→ v. oft. 1}
5 vía oral {→ v.o. 3}
6 vía ótica {→ v. ót. 1}

Most likely we're dealing with Via Oral, which is the most common ... but it could be one of the others depending on the context. It would help (the asker) to check the type medication and how it's being administered, if this is mentioned elsewhere in the report.
