Spanish term

GHA

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping Air freight, goods transport
SPAIN. I don't usually "do" acronyms and insist that clients who use them should define them. Unfortunately, the client who sent me this has gone on holiday. I've asked one of her colleagues about it but they haven't replied yet, and I suspect they might not know either, or tell me to "just leave it" (which I find really irritating). I don't even know if it's an English or Spanish acronym (though I suspect it may be the former),

Not much context to go on either. It's an ad about a logistics and e-booking / EDI workshop:

"El próximo 22 de Septiembre, International Air Transport Association (IATA) organizará un e-AWB workshop en Santiago de Chile. Acudirán tanto Aerolineas como , Agentes de Carga, GHAs y Almacenes chilenos. "

Acronym GHA is used here by Qantas for a reference.

PS: e-AWB stands for electronic Air Waybill, so GHA may be an English term rather than Spanish.

Agencia de asistencia en tierra a aeronaves

Seems like it might be a Ground Handling Agent.

(The Glasgow Housing Association hasn't reached Chile yet)

Gracias lucyab.
agree Thomas Pfann : Definitely. Some hits for "Ground Handling Agents (GHA)" on the IATA website, such as here: http://www.iata.org/publications/tracker/jun-2013/Pages/adop...
