For now, the agency has gotten back to me with a definition they found online. I have explained to them that I am perfectly capable of finding an online definition, and that what I'm after is a definition from the actual client. Now I'm awaiting a reply.

There appears not to be a set definition of the term, let alone an accepted translation. The client may not have one either, especially one that would speak to the intended English-speaking audience. Please get back to us, and do not forget to check with your dentist regarding some necessary dental repairs.

Practical Completion

A point may be reached where the work is for all practical purposes sufficiently complete to be put into use but is not necessarily fully complete in all respects.

Practical completion stage

The practical completion stage is the stage when all the works connected with insulation are completed, all the lines are connected. Additionally, at this stage some of the works regarding the space around the house are performed. The works also include: external wall sheeting, which completely protects against adverse weather conditions, chimney finishing, windowsills, drain pipes, finishing external stairs, fixing rails and external windowsills. The practical completion stage means that walls and attic are insulated, and all the systems, rough ins, connections are installed: plumbing, cold and hot water, heating, electricity, telephone and television.

Although it is true that these standards do depend, I will attempt to give you the break down:

1. Stan surowy otwarty:

Is just the foundations, walls and roof.

There is no: plumbing, the walls aren't plastered, there is no wiring, the concrete floor with insulation will need to be poured, no windows, no front door or garage door, no taps, no internal doors.

stan surowy zamkniety:

Is the same as stan surowy otwarty but with external doors and windows.


2. Stan deweloperski:

This is with: front door, windows, plumbing pipes installed, electrical wires installed, the place is plastered and may or may not come with interior doors or a boiler. (most cases they come with a boiler but without interior doors but check).

You will have to paint the place, install everything in the kitchen and bathrooms (including taps), tile the place, install lights, interior doors.


3. Pod klucz:

The apartment is finished but without furniture.
It includes a kitchen and all appliances, in the bathroom taps, toilet, bath/shower.
Might not include wardrobes and curtains.
