settling Explanation: Considering that the area must be completely settled, I suppose this idea is backed by the fact that if they get out of this area they may slip on the area that is not completely settled... Just an idea |

designated area, prepared area Explanation: A difficult one! Concerning the form this "asentamiento" takes, I don't know how much of a clue we have in "para evitar que los asistentes y/o participantes bajen del asentamiento y puedan resbalar". If it's an area that has been levelled, cleared of rubble... then perhaps "prepared area". If simply marked, cordoned off... then "designated area". |
