Hello everyone this is in a document describing the parts and operation of a winch, I am more specialised in technical terms however this is the only sentence I have that is not purely "technical", can anyone help me formulate it.
I have come across "mutual recognition" as a term used in this context but I don't know if it is exactly suitable.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Your sentence as it stands requires a verb ('se reconnaissent') — your suggestion of 'mutual recognition', although the right concept, is in fact a noun and would translate 'reconnaissance mutuelle'; you could work it in by changing the basic structure of the sentence.

: "recognise" sounds more like they act as recognition bodies (=> "you are not a professional unless I say so") while here it's more about stating a fact "we are dully taking notice that you are a professional"
