The vessel’s propulsion plant consists of 2 units, one on Port Side, called No. 1, and another one on Starboard Side, called No. 2. Propulsion unit No. 1 drives also, via a step-up part in the reduction gear box, a Power Take-Off in form of an elastic coupled Shaft Generator. Each propulsion unit consists of a main engine, elastic coupling, reduction gearbox and controllable pitch propeller (CPP).
