@Luis Yes, it is software and yes, it is [expletive deleted] frustrating, irritating and at times infuriating. The client's online platform has a space for comments, which I often use along with a request for confirmation or context, or, as in this case, the definition of abbreviations which often crop up. There are still comments of mine sitting there from a year ago.

Agree ..with phil that "U." is probably "Unidad". I also thought that S. Comp. Might mean Servicio/s de Compras (Purchasing/Procurement Services), but would need confirmation. I'll probably ask the client - I sent them an email yesterday about another issue and they haven't replied yet.

Frustrating. If this is software I really have no clue what the abbreviations mean, but unfortunately, those who code and design software are not generous enough in that they give end users only limited fields (that is fields that accommodate only a certain/reduced number of characters). In any event is was easier to abbreviate SERVICIOS ADMINISTRATIVOS and expand the rest.

@Phil You're right of course. It's just that less than a minute before seeing this question I received the invoice from my accountant. It includes an item called 'SERVEIS COMPTABLES SOCIETATS', which I suppose influenced my discussion box entry.

Not sure about that - why would they mix Catalan in with Spanish? It could be "complementarios", or "computacionales", or something else. Nómina is payroll. "U" could be "unidad".

I don't know what 'U' stands for but SERV. COMP. is probably serveis comptables (servicios contables in Spanish). I've just this minute received this month's invoice from the person who deals with my paperwork and one of the items is 'Serveis Comptables'.

Definitely "Compartidos" There is an entity that calculates the payroll for the rest of the members of the group, and charges for the service. No need to bother your client.

I only use a 5 when I am absolutely sure. The U is for Unidad, but this type of organization is known wordlwide as a shared services centre// Thank you, Phil!
