In other words, the student´s ability in virtual environments is a second nature.

Takes place in virtual sites.
I think this would be the most accurate option, based on the context.

: "Se" is the student, so this doesn't make sense or justify a 5.

My suggestion is as similar as the ones rated positive, could you please explain why your rate to my suggestion is the opposite?

: The student is the (implied) subject of the verb so your construction is wrong // yes, a person does not "take place" and your confidence level is way too hgh

IMHO, in this case “desenvolverse” refers to the person who has been awarded the certifcate (He/she operates in virtual environments generated by ICTs).
It means that the person knows how to navigate through virtual environments comfortably, like a fish through water. The person is “well-versed” in these environments, although that expression might be too old fashioned for the ICT context.

NB: As phil notes, "ICT-generated" is actually redundant, as all virtual environments are created through ICTS. However, it does appear in published papers like the link below, from Peru:

: "Generated by ICT" is redundant.

Thanks for the agree. Right enough. There will be a better way to express “desenvolverse” in the context, but "por allí van los tiros".
