Так ее в бизнес-операциях и называют. Смысл универсален - любая разница, наценка, комиссионные... Происхождение от греческой буквы "дельта", которой в математике обозначают разницу(приращение)

disagree Volodymyr Tsapko (X) : no native speaker would understand "delta" in the above context. See http://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/delta.asp. It doesn;t confirm your answer, because delta is PRIMARILY about derivative securities! And the question doesn;t even hint derivatives.

"delta" is not native, but rather international. If RU natives can understand meaning of greek "delta", why do you think UK or US ones wouldn't? And your ref CONFIRMs my idea. but not contradicts it. |||: I don't understand your "derivatives". Thank you
agree Irene N : 'delta' as 'difference' is more than common in the U.S., even in the casual conversation between people with some level of education. It will be understood for sure.
