French term

assigner en refere d\\\'heure a heure

French to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
I know that "assigner en refere" means issue a writ/summons, but I'm not sure about the qualifiction "heure a heure"

Discussion

writeaway Mar 8, 2005:
question is in KudoZ glossary (under KudoZ, click on search glossaries and you can check terms before you post a question-but sometimes a term doesn't show up even if it's there). I found it by Googling.

I believe 'en réferé' can also have a meaning related to 'interim', so maybe it means something like 'hourly on an interim basis' --- could that make sense in your wider context?

No, it means to bring a matter before a judge in urgent proceedings, but ones that are so urgent that the minutes count.
