fenugreek extract Explanation: I would call it this way. 溅 is added , because it is glutinous, I suppose. The full name of this plant is 璊莫 . 璊莫 てブ灿璏┮ㄤ癸庇稰ρて終疭Τ Fenugreek is widely used for skin-care products. See REFERENCES FENUGREEK (TRIGONELLA FOENUM-GRECUM) Medicinal: Fenugreek is much used in herbal medicine, especially in North Africa, the Middle East and India. It has a wide range of medicinal applications. It has been used to treat almost everything. The seeds of fenugreek contain the most potent medicinal effects of the plant. Fenugreek is antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, tonic, expectorant, demulcent and hypotensive. The seeds are very nourishing and are given to convalescents and to encourage weight gain, especially in anorexia nervosa. It has also been said to be a strong stimulant of milk production in mothers, helps bronchitis, sore throats, wound healing, and soothes the digestive tract. Recent studies support traditional uses for digestion, menopausal complaints, heart disease, weight control and diabetes. The seeds freshen bad breath and restore a dulled sense of taste. The leaves are harvested in the growing season and can be used fresh or dried. The seeds are harvested when fully ripe and dried for later use. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-04-29 11:44:58 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Fenugreek Gum ( perhaps, more close to the point) See this description fenugreek gum has superior characteristics compared to other conventional gums. Interestingly, the higher the ratio of galactose is, the stronger the effect of lowering the level of sugar and cholesterol in the blood becomes. That is, fenugreek is a medicinal natural food additive. Full text here http://www.airgreen.co.jp/fenugreek/index_e.html Reference: http://www.kandwherbs.com/fenugreek.html |
