agree Ken Cox : Kluwer WB Bouwkunde also gives 'partial hip' for wolfseind, which is probably a synonym for wolfskap\\Given the wide variety of meanings of 'Dutch gable' revealed by a bit of googling, the term is probably best avoided.

thanks Ken (I'm always a bit confused whether partial hip doesn't also apply to a "Dutch gable"...any thoughts on this?)//good point, its use is far less consistent than I imagined (after having seen a Dutch gable in an EN>NL translation, pictures & all:)
