supply strand Explanation: 'aanvoerstrang' could well be a typo, as Dave and Venter suggest, but on the other hand the author could literally be referring to 'strang' as the rather unusual Dutch equivalent for 'streng' (see Grote Van Dale), meaning 'strand', e.g. cable strand.
