I'm having trouble tracking down a genuine UK equivalent for the phrase asterisked below. Sounds slightly silly (to me) when translated literally:
De in het eerste lid bedoelde geheimhoudingsplicht geldt voorts met betrekking tot alle aangelegenheden, ten aanzien waarvan de Regelinghouder geheimhouding heeft opgelegd. De in het eerste lid bedoelde instanties zijn tevens verplicht tot geheimhouding ten aanzien van die zaken, **waarvan zij het vertrouwelijk karakter moet begrijpen.**

confidential character
"they must understand the confidential character" gets quite a few google hits, seems normal when making sure that confidentiality is kept.
