inertia (in motion) Explanation: "doorzetting" refers to the amount of time the ship will keep moving forward whilst being propelled backwards; as a result of its Momentum =Mass*Velocity The ship carries a full load, hence its inertia is high. Therefore its velocity should be reduced to a very low speed and two tugs are to be attached; one to the bow and one to the stern. Ik weet niet zo gauw of er een specifieke Engelse term is voor "doorzetting" maar als je het inertia noemt zal iedere stuurman of oods in opleiding begrijpen wat wordt bedoeld. |
