English term

AM station

English to Arabic Other Media / Multimedia media
A station that broadcasts with an amplitude-modulated signal. An AM signal is a long, direct radio wave that travels the earth's surface, whereas a frequency-modulated (FM) signal is a straight broadcast signal that travels only as far as the horizon.

We are used to say قناة اي أم , but the term "an amplitude-modulated signal " how it is translated .
Thanks .

I retract my answer. It is based on a faulty morphology, and is therefore incorrect. I apologize.

The suggestion I should have made is محطة دمج وسعي

محطات الموجة متغيرة السعة

the difference between the two types of radio waves (AM/FM) is that in the first (AM) the amplitude changes whereas in the second (FM) the frequency changes. so, i think that employing this difference in translating the phrase would be acceptable. the (FM station) would be محطة الموجة متغيرة التردد
