The master and variable page files may be premerged to create a plurality of combined files each representing a page to be reproduced with *master* and variable *information*. The combined files can be then sent to any type of printer or other display device, whether local or remote.

In de informatica wordt 'master XXX' veelal vertaald met 'hoofd XXX'. In dit geval zou dat m.i. ook heel goed kunnen. Ik zou oppassen met 'stamgegevens'. Dat suggereert gegevens waarvan andere gegevens worden afgeleid, en dat lijkt mij hier niet van toepassing.

...met sjabloon- en variabele informatie.
het is vooral omdat die variabele er direct achter staat dat ik betwijfel of die standaard en dat hoofd wel kunnen.
Ik kan alleen niet uit bovenstaande tekst halen of hier sprake is van een sjabloon of niet, dus gebruik dit alleen als je redelijk zeker van je zaak bent! :)

lekker...zie nu je volgende vraag met master data, wat al onderdeel uitmaakt van een sjabloon, ...dit antwoord kan de prullemand in.
Als alternatiefje dan: "vaste basisinformatie"....niet al te sterk, maar eventueel nuttig

uit een andere vraag van je:
"the page files having fixed information and a placeholder at the location on the page where the variable data will be reproduced;"
dan lijkt me "vaste basisinformatie" een stuk beter dan ik eerst dacht.
