Hello Marcelle,
A few months ago I had to translate a text related to Democracy and the Internet in which there were many terms that started with "e-". I asked for advice to the national translators net in Ecuador and many of the answer suggested the term "electrónica/o" to replace the e-.
I had my doubts at first, however, the proofreader confirmed that it was the correct term and my client was very happy!
