Explanation:
8 бит и grayscale, кажется, ясно. Solid-state в технике означает скорее 'полупроводниковый', а capacitive-touch device — 'сенсорный датчик'.
'Датчик' по контексту больше подходит, чем 'устройство' потому что, он же device that can capture fingerprint bitmap images (.., который может захватывать изображение отпечатка пальца с такими-то параметрами отсканированого...).
