Hola colegas!: I can't find the right term in Spanish. Is there any specific name already assigned to it? This is part of a consultative selling manuals. Here you have some context:

"Since timeliness is important, there is also a discussion of some of the more common assumptive approaches to projects. Assumptive approaches are shortcuts. It is seldom possible to survey all client departments, all facilities, in all geographic locations, frequently only selected departments and/or locations are surveyed and the findings are used as a baseline for assumptions about other similar locations."
