In looking at the sequence of the probes in question, it seems that each probes has a 20 base sequence added to it on the 5' end with the biotin tag -- the (B) symbol in your patent examples...
I am pretty sure that **complémentées** means **in addition to** in this specific sentence and not **complementary** (like it does everywhere else!)
So the 2nd part of your sentence means that there is an additional 20 base pair sequence and a biotin tag at the 5' end
