"Le traitement de surface par voie plasma permet la formation d'une couche d'interface entre support et le revêtement antiadhésif, cette couche d'interface améliorant l'ancrage de ce dernier sur le support et permettant ainsi au revêtement d'assurer une fonction à long terme sans risques de délaminage."

is this simply "anchoring" can this be said in a chemical context?
