droits exclusifs d'exploitation pour le Marche au detail de la Video au Canada pour une duree de cinq (5) ans a compter de la premiere exploitation, en contrepartie du paiement au Producteur d'une redevance des revenus bruts qui sera etablie suivant les negociations du Producteur et de (the broadcaster) a cet effet;

I'm confused as I've seen droits d'exploitation translated as exploitation rights and I've also seen première exploitation translated as first release.
If première exploitation is indeed first release, what about droits d'exploitation? Should it be left as exploitation rights? Somehow, I don't think so.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
