With so little context, it's hard to be sure, but if that could fit with the rest, I think it is likely --- in order to perform the test, you either use the computer, or a special keyswicth, to put it into 'override' mode
'marche forcé' has come up before on KudoZ, and I think 'forçage' almost certainly amounts to the same thing, in which case 'override' is probably good.
