Can anyone help with the phrasing of an English (US) translation of the following?
Context: stamping of thermoplastic composites using a press. The following is describing the blanks (FR: flans) which are put in the molds.
"Ils [= les flans] sont de morphologie variable, car ils correspondent au développé de la pièce, augmenté d'une sur-longueur."
Can anyone help with the phrasing of an English (US) translation of the following?
