palissandro Explanation: bois de violette, ou palissandre : bois lourd et dur brun foncé à reflets violacés, très recherché en ébénisterie (Larousse) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 37 mins (2005-07-26 11:25:47 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- E\' vero che in italiano si usa spesso il termine francese, citato pure, ma \"bois de violette\" corrisponde a \"palissandro\" nel Boch. Che dici, hanno sbagliato nel dizionario??????????? |

E non sono la stessa cosa. http://www.nantucketbaskets.com/supplies/woods/woods.htm KINGWOOD: A relative of the rosewood family this very dense wood looks very much like rosewood with stripes of brown and black. ROSEWOOD: Rosewood has many varieties, pictured is a figured Honduras. Color can run from deep brown to warm red tones. Hard, finishes well. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 14 mins (2005-07-26 12:02:34 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Non voglio fare polemica, ma il Boch è un dizionario generico.
