Eike Seemann DipTrans May 9, 2008:
Obwohl mein Vorschlag unten nicht ganz ernst gemeint ist, würd' mich trotzdem interessieren, ob das Wort 'Zwischenwelt' eine beabsichtigte Anlehnung an Dante's 'Göttliche Komödie' ist?Dann wäre die Bedeutung schon 'düsterer' als 'imagination'etc. ...
Bernhard Sulzer May 8, 2008:
@ Johanna (sorry, also OT): you wouldn't know which ones? great scenery, right? :)
Johanna Timm, PhD May 8, 2008:
@ Bernhard (sorry, OT): some episodes were filmed in the woods right behind my house :-)

Journey to a world of imagination

As a U.S. English native speaker, twilight zone has other connotations tied to it that take away from the intended meaning. Strictly based on definition, it is a wonderful choice. These are just some other options.

journey to a/the world between

the idea being (I think) to go on a journey to a world that is removed/detached from the real world but still connected to it (expressing it), and at the same time unreal (puppets), a world between real and unreal ( that place would be the puppet world).

journey to "Neitherworld"
journey to a world neither real nor unreal
journey to a/the world in-between (not so sure)

..puppets as having real-life characteristics (movement, language, action) but at the same time not being real, being artificial, fictive, art, mimicing it all - but as we know, sometimes they seem as if they were real!
