: "living spaces" is presumably a literal translation of "Wohnfläche" - but "spaces" (plural) doesn't work in English (apart from e.g. parking spaces)

Interestingly enough, the letting agent in this link: http://www.livingspaces.co.uk/ was not aware of this proper use of English and named itself living spaces. Besides, my google.co.uk automatically suggests living spaces when I type in the first word
