Bergwertung

Cycling again:

Selected

climb, official finish (line) of the climb, summit

It seems to me that the first definition below is more appropriate here (how can you ride to a standing in only one climb?), and from the structure of the sentence it sounds like what it actually means is the finish of the officially designated climb or the summit.

Bergwertung

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "That's it in this context - like others, I was getting confused by the different meanings of the word."

RITCHEY IN THE GIRO – WINS MOUNTAIN CLASSIFICATION
The hottest news for Ritchey’s riders in the Giro both come from the Gerolsteiner team. Gerolsteiner rider Fabian Wegmann valiantly overcame Giro winner Damiano Cunego in points during the very last stage to win the coveted Green Climber’s Jersey!

agree David Moore (X) : I'm sure this is used in the Tour de France too

disagree Steve Yates : This means the competition from the combined mountain sections of a particular tour/cycle race, not the finishing point on the mountain.

agree Cilian O'Tuama : a single stage can have several mountain classifications
