I know that this is orotracheal intubation and clearly the 7.5 dia. relates to the tube used, but what does "cuffiato" mean? I cannot find "cuffiato" but I can find "cuffia" - "casing, shroud, cowling". It appears that some kind of "cowl" is used with tubes during intubation. Is it "cowled" in this context please??

Note from asker:
It should have been obvious really, I don't know why I didn't look for "cuffed" tube, silly really. Sorry to have bothered you. Thanks very much. |

Comment: "It seemed too obvious to consider and nothing similar was suggested in my dictionary, so I didn't consider it, but you are clearly right. Many thanks."
