Is this a form made in MS Word? Could it be a line break? I know there´s a page break but not sure if there´s a line break.

In English, the word "character" is unnecessary.

HI Luiza, I'm not sure if it's in MS Word or not - I don't have that information.

new line character

In ASCII, the character LF (hex 0A decimal 10 standard keyboard corresp ^J) is traditionally called "line feed", and at least as often these days "new line". The name "line break" is used in editors and other text applications to mean (what else?) "line break", but the ^J character is rarely called that by experts.

In applications (on most current platforms) using ASCII (almost universal these days) there are two principal ways of marking end of line with non-printing characters: one is to use ^J by itself, in which case the character tends to be called "new line" (NL), the norm in UNIX systems environments; the other (original teletype convention) is to use a pair of characters, CR (carriage or carrier return hex 0D decimal 13 standard keyboard corresp ^M) followed by the LF (then usually called "line feed"). This is the norm in popular Windows applications.

In the present context, assuming it was competently written, the first convention is far more likely, so the better translation (rather, restitution) is "new line character". It is not good form to omit the word "character". "Line feed character" is OK too.

As to HTML, (non-printing) character code is called "line feed", and is called carriage return, but what this means I have no idea, since I could not tell HTML if I saw it (well, exaggerating a bit).

Actually the two character terminator can be either ^M^J or ^J^M
