We.. no. ...is staked to the north of well no.... Will it be correct translation for the word заложена or there is something else. I have not found the word staked in the dictionary . Please clarify or give some other suggestion if there is any.

"sink a well" is suggested as an alternative to "stake a well" - in case you needed to use synonims to avoid repetition :)

заложена and all it's derivatives when associated with скважина simply means located, location, etc.---the well is located, the location of the well, etc. David's located in correct
