| Definition / notes: | Survey of the employment situation in Spain conducted quarterly by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). It provides data on the economically active and inactive population; the number of people in employment and unemployed; and the participation rate, employment rate and unemployment rate by age group, sex, region or Autonomous Community, economic sector, occupational status (entrepreneurs or employers, the self-employed, employees and family workers) and length of time spent unemployed or seeking work. It usually differs in some respects from the survey of Recorded Movement of Labour (MLR) compiled each month by INEM . These two surveys are the main sources of statistics on the labour market in Spain. The INE uses the name EAPS |
