Speakers:

Katharine Allen Katharine Allen is co-President of InterpretAmerica, an organization dedicated to raising the profile of the interpreting industry, which hosts the annual InterpretAmerica Summit. She also trains interpreters and interpreter trainers, and provides curriculum design and review for academic and licensed training programs. Clients have included Kaiser Permanente, the Department of Defense, Glendon College of Translation and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is a published author, including co-authorship of the newly published The Community Interpreter (R): An International Textbook. Katharine is a frequent public speaker at conferences nationwide. Katharine also provides language access consulting services to hospitals. She is an active interpreter and translator for state and local governments, health services, and courts. Katharine holds a Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpretation (MATI) from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
